HOSTS MOROCCO FAVOURITES AS AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS LOOKS TO BREAK NEW GROUND

MOROCCO is looking to win the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 50 years, and they're doing it on home soil. The team has been in amazing form, winning 18 straight international games, and their captain, Achraf Hakimi, is inspiring everyone. They have a real chance to bring the trophy back to the country for the second time in history.

This will be a big moment for Morocco, as they last won the title in 1976.

The tournament is set to take place from December 21 to January 18, and fans are excited about the possibility of a historic win. It's one of the most highly anticipated AFCON events in recent memory.

But winning won't be easy.

Morocco will have to face strong teams like the reigning champions Ivory Coast, Egypt with Mohamed Salah, Nigeria with Victor Osimhen, and Senegal with Sadio Mané. All of these teams have big names and a strong history in the competition, so the path to the title will be tough.

AFCON has grown a lot since its start in 1957, when only Sudan, Egypt, and Ethiopia took part.

Over the years, the number of teams has increased, reaching six in 1963, eight in 1968, 12 in 1992, 16 in 1996, and finally 24 in 2019. Today, it's the biggest football event on the African continent and has a huge global following.
