BOLOGNA kept their unbeaten record on the road going with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. The game started quickly, with Riccardo Orsolini hitting the side-netting just minutes in, and Lazio's Gustav Isaksen forcing a save from Federico Ravaglia early on. Ivan Provedel also had to be sharp, making a key stop after a bad backpass from Lazio gifted Jens Odgaard a chance.
Lazio took the lead through Mattia Zaccagni, whose first attempt was saved, but the ball fell to Isaksen for a simple finish.
Bologna responded almost immediately, with Odgaard scoring after Provedel tipped Nadir Zortea's shot onto the post, equalizing and extending Bologna's run of eight draws at halftime in their last nine games across all competitions.
The second half started slowly, but Lazio came close to retaking the lead through Matteo Guendouzi, whose effort was saved by Ravaglia.
The Bologna goalkeeper continued to impress, making another important stop to keep out Matteo Cancellieri's header as Lazio pushed forward.
The momentum changed when Mario Gila was shown a second yellow card for a reckless challenge, leaving Lazio down to 10 men.
Despite the disadvantage, Lazio remained a threat late in the game, but Bologna held on to end Lazio's four-match winning streak. The resilient Bologna side have now lost just once in their last 15 matches and are still in the hunt for a Champions League spot, sitting just two points behind the top four.
