The family in Ndakaini village, Gatanga, Murang'a County, is grieving the sudden loss of Sammy Jonnes Ndichu and his wife, Nina Wambui Ndichu, who died in a road accident on December 12, 2025, on the Maai Mahiu–Naivasha route.

Their death was confirmed by The Architects Alliance, who said, “It is with deep sorrow that we inform the Architectural & Quantity Surveying fraternity of the demise of Arch.
Sammy Jonnes Ndichu Mwangi and his loving wife Nina Ann Wambui through a road accident.”
Sammy was born on April 23, 1993, and Nina on April 23, 1995.
The couple not only shared their birthdays but also the same day they passed away.
They were buried on December 19 at their family home in Ndakaini after a memorial service at PCEA Mt. Olives in Njathaini, Kiambu County.
Friends and colleagues have shared their condolences on social media.
One wrote, “Their wedding anniversary was on December 12, and they were both first-borns. True soulmates. So sad.”
