LIVERPOOL COACH ARNE SLOT SAYS RELATIONSHIP WITH MOHAMED SALAH HAS NOT BROKEN DOWN

ARNE SLOT has said there is no split with Mohamed Salah, even though the player wasn’t included in the squad for the Champions League match against Inter Milan. When asked about the situation, Slot said, “That’s not how I feel… I haven’t felt that way at all,” in reply to Salah’s disappointment over being left out recently.

Salah, who trained with the main team earlier that day, wasn’t taken to Italy after he privately felt he was being treated unfairly.

His comments came after being left out of three straight games, including the 3-3 draw with Leeds. When asked if Salah had played his last game for Liverpool, Slot said he had “no clue,” but added that while Salah is allowed to feel the way he does, he shouldn’t share those feelings with the media.

This situation has come at a tough time for Liverpool, who are currently ninth in the Premier League and have only won four of their last 15 games across all competitions.

Their Champions League campaign has also struggled, with them in 13th place after a 4-1 loss to PSV Eindhoven. The team’s poor performance on the pitch has made Salah’s recent struggles even more noticeable.

Despite scoring 250 goals since joining from Roma in 2017 and becoming Liverpool’s highest-paid player after signing a new contract in April, Salah has only scored four times in 13 Premier League games this season.

He was once a key player in Liverpool’s title wins and Champions League victories, but now he is at the center of uncertainty as the club deals with one of its toughest periods in recent memory.
