EGYPTIAN club Al Ahly is currently in discussions with Pyramids FC's forward Fiston Kalala Mayele, who is 31 years old, in an effort to sign him before the January 2026 transfer window.
There are reports that Mayele has one year left on his current contract with Pyramids, and the club is trying to convince him to stay.
However, Mayele has turned down their offer to renew his contract. He wants to move to Saudi Arabia instead, where he has been offered a better deal.
It is believed that both Al Ahly and Al-Fateh, another Saudi club, are interested in signing Mayele during the small January transfer window.
Al Ahly is reported to have proposed a two-year contract along with a salary of $3 million per season, which is about TSh 8.4 billion.
