13 WOMEN KIDNAPPED IN ATTACK ON CHACHO VILLAGE, SOKOTO NIGERIA

GUNMEN attacked Chacho Village in Sokoto State, which is located in the northwestern part of Nigeria, and kidnapped 13 women, including a young child. The attack happened on the night of November 29 and has made people in the area more worried because there have been more kidnappings happening in different parts of the country recently.

According to people who saw what happened, the attackers broke into a house and took the people inside by force. These kinds of incidents are not new, especially in rural areas, where groups of criminals often use kidnapping to get money from families by demanding a ransom.

Chacho Village has seen several armed robberies, known as "Habints." It's important to mention that in October, 13 people were kidnapped and made to pay for their freedom. Students from various schools in northern Nigeria have also been caught in similar situations.

After these attacks, President Bola Tinubu has announced a security emergency and promised to improve the strength of the security forces and create new jobs within these agencies.

However, some human rights organizations have argued that these steps are still not sufficient to properly investigate and deal with the serious nature of the problem.
