THE Government Has Officially Announced 41,500 New Job Openings In Various Public Sectors As Part Of Efforts To Address The Shortage Of Public Servants Across The Country.

These Positions Will Be Filled During The 2024/2025 And 2025/2026 Financial Years, With The Entire Recruitment Process Expected To Be Completed By November 2025.

Speaking To The Media In Dodoma Today, October 10, 2025, The Permanent Secretary In The President’s Office For Public Service Management And Good Governance, Mr. Juma Mkomi, Said The New Recruitment Drive Is Part Of The Government’s Broader Strategy To Improve The Efficiency Of Public Service Delivery.

THE JOB OPPORTUNITIES WILL COVER THE FOLLOWING SECTORS:

Education – 12,176 Positions

Health (Local Government Level) – 10,280 Positions

Agriculture – 470 Positions

Livestock – 312 Positions

Fisheries – 47 Positions

Security Forces (Police, Prisons, Fire And Rescue, Immigration) – 7,000 Positions

Mr. Mkomi Has Directed The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat To Ensure The Recruitment Process Is Completed On Time, While Also Finalizing The Recruitment Of 45,000 Positions That Remained Unfilled In The 2024/2025 Financial Year.

He Emphasized That All Authorities With The Mandate To Hire Must Collaborate Fully To Ensure These Vacancies Are Filled Promptly, In Order To Prevent Disruption Of Essential Public Services Due To Staff Shortages.
