The United States will either store or sell the oil that wasn't on the tankers seized near Venezuela's coast, along with the ships themselves, according to Donald Trump.

This announcement came as the US continues to push Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro to step down.

Speaking to reporters in Florida on Monday, Trump said, "We will store" the oil, adding, "We will probably sell it or we will store it.

We are storing the ships as well."

The Trump administration has accused Venezuela of using its oil money to fund drug-related crimes, while the Venezuelan government called the seizure "piracy."

The US military has taken over two tankers this month, including one on Saturday.

Trump's comments came as the US Coast Guard kept track of a third tanker, which officials said was part of Venezuela's "black ships" used to bypass US sanctions.

Trump said, "We will definitely find it."

On Monday, the US military conducted an attack on what it claimed was a suspected human smuggling boat in international waters in the eastern Pacific.

The US Southern Command reported that one person was killed in the attack.
