He listed some of the main challenges, including difficulty finding housing, not having good information about investment chances, slow bureaucratic processes, and consular services not being close enough.

According to the president, these problems need serious and lasting solutions.

On housing, he said it's a top priority and needs "appropriate and sustainable solutions" through solid public policies and new financial ideas.

When it comes to consular services, he announced big changes focusing on three main areas: making procedures easier, improving the service for people, and ensuring the documents issued are more reliable.

The president also talked about the need to better protect and support Senegalese living abroad, especially in cases of serious problems like murders, human trafficking, or when people are in distress while overseas.

He said the system for helping these people needs to be stronger to make sure each case is closely followed and families don’t get left hanging for too long without answers.

Digital technology and the New Deal for Technology were big parts of his speech.

For the president, digital tools are key to bringing Senegal closer to its diaspora and using their potential. He said digital tech removes distance and brings people together, especially since the diaspora already has a strong connection to the country. He called for more use of skills in areas like economics, science, technology, and administration.

Finally, the president reminded everyone about a special program meant to support and encourage Senegalese abroad.

This program is part of the effort to create a more integrated, inclusive, and sustainable governance system as part of Senegal 2050’s goals.

He ended by saying the diaspora should not just be seen as a source of money, but as a true partner in building the future together.

He encouraged better listening, stronger representation, and support that matches the real needs of Senegalese people living overseas.
