AMORIM FRUSTRATED AS MANCHESTER UNITED DROP MORE POINTS IN 1-1 DRAW WITH WEST HAM

MANCHESTER UNITED manager Ruben Amorim expressed frustration after his team again failed to hold on to a lead, ending in a 1-1 draw against West Ham at Old Trafford. The result adds to United's mounting frustration as they remain eighth in the Premier League, two points behind the top four but missing out on several opportunities to climb higher in the table.

In recent weeks, a worrying pattern has emerged for Amorim's side. United also squandered leads against Tottenham and Nottingham Forest, ultimately losing valuable points in matches they had largely controlled. Their struggles were further underscored by a 1-0 loss to Everton, with the visitors playing with 10 men for almost the entire match.

Speaking after the game, Amorim criticized his team's inability to finish the game."We should have closed the game with the ball because the game was there to win," he said. He pointed out that United had control for long periods but lacked the precision and composure needed to secure all three points.

Amorim added that the team needed to defend higher up the pitch to avoid dangerous set-piece situations, but they once again failed to manage key moments.

"We couldn't maintain the ball and again we lost two points," he concluded, highlighting a recurring issue that continues to hinder United's progress in the season.
