This loss has put Simba SC at the bottom of Group D with zero points from two matches. Meanwhile, Petro Atletico lead the group with four points, while Stade Malien are in second place with the same amount, though they trail Petro Atletico on goal difference. Esperance de Tunis are third with two points after two games.
Simba SC now needs to turn things around in their upcoming matches if they are to have any chance of progressing further in the CAF Champions League.
