THE MINISTER Of State, President's Office (Service And Good Governance), Ridhiwani Kikwete, Has Said He Is Ready To Be Questioned By The Secretariat For Ethics Of Public Leaders To Clarify Allegations Linking Him To The Ownership Of Fuel Stations Allegedly Owned By Lake Oil. He Made The Statement While Speaking To His Ministry Staff In Dodoma, November 26, 2025.
Ridhiwani Said It Is Important That Information About The Ethics Of Leaders Be Open, And That Where Doubts Arise, The Leaders Involved Should Be Explained And Give Evidence Before The Public. He Said The Complaints Have Been So Numerous That The Truth About Various Allegations Has Been Confused.
Referring To The Recent Protests, The Minister Said They Have Provided An Opportunity For Citizens To Question The Ethics Of Leaders, Including Allegations That Lake Oil Fuel Stations Are Owned By A Person Named Ali Edha Awadh But Have Been Linked To Him. He Stressed That He Is Ready To Be Called Without Fear To Provide Detailed Explanations.
He Has Also Advised The Ethics Commission To Conduct A Comprehensive Investigation And Gather Sufficient Evidence Before Releasing Information To The Public, Saying That This Step Will Help Citizens Obtain Accurate Information And Eliminate Misunderstandings That Frequently Arise.
