JESCA MAGUFULI, Daughter Of The Late Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli, Is Among 115 Women Politicians Appointed As Special Seats Members Of Parliament Following The October 29, 2025 General Election.

According To The List Released By The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), 113 Of The Women Come From The Ruling Party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), While Two Are From The Opposition Party Chama Cha Ukombozi Wa Umma (CHAUMMA).

These Appointments Aim To Ensure Women’s Representation In The 13th Parliament Of Tanzania, Continuing The Country’s Tradition Of Promoting Gender Balance In Leadership.

However, Just Like In The 12th Parliament, The New Parliament Will Not Have An Official Opposition Camp, Reflecting The Current Political Landscape In The Country.
