THE President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has reappointed Dr. Mwinyi Talib Haji as the Attorney General of Zanzibar.
According to a statement released today, November 4, 2025, by the Secretary of the Revolutionary Council and Chief Secretary, Engineer Zena A. Said, the appointment takes effect immediately.
The announcement confirmed that the Attorney General-designate is scheduled to be sworn in on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the State House (Ikulu) in Zanzibar.
This reappointment reflects continued confidence by President Mwinyi in Dr. Haji’s leadership and legal expertise as he continues to serve in one of Zanzibar’s most senior government positions.
