BORUSSIA Dortmund’s UEFA Champions League campaign roared back to life as Serhou Guirassy delivered a sensational performance, scoring a decisive brace in a resounding 4–0 win over Villarreal in Round 5.
The Signal Iduna Park crowd witnessed a clinical display from the forward, who broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time. Guirassy latched onto a sharp pass from Anselmino and showed incredible composure to bury the opener at 45+2′, setting the tone for what would become a long night for the visiting defense.
Just nine minutes after the restart, the striker doubled Dortmund’s advantage with another expertly taken finish, stretching his Champions League tally and putting BVB firmly in control. His movement, confidence, and ruthlessness in front of goal proved too much for Villarreal’s backline, who struggled to contain the in-form attacker.
Karim Adeyemi added a third moments later, capitalizing on Dortmund’s momentum, before D. Svensson sealed the rout deep in stoppage time after a neat assist from Pascal Grop B.
But it was Guirassy’s early brace that shaped the narrative once again underlining his importance to Dortmund and reaffirming his status as one of Europe’s deadliest finishers this season.
