THE Zambian Film Industry Has Suffered A Major Loss Following The Passing Of Renowned Actress Wanga Zulu, Best Known For Her Role As Junza In The Popular Drama Series Mpali, Which Airs On Dstv.
According To A Statement Released By The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC), Junza Passed Away On Thursday, October 9, 2025, At Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital After A Period Of Illness.
In The Much-Loved Series, Junza Portrayed The Role Of Nguzu's First Wife In A Polygamous Household Where He Had Seven Wives. Her Character Was Deeply Respected By Viewers For Her Exceptional Acting Talent And For Portraying A Wise, Authoritative, And Dignified Matriarch Within The Family.
In Addition To Being Nguzu's First Wife, Junza Was Also The Mother Of Hambe A Young Man Raised By Nguzu In Their Extended Family Setting In Mpali.
