Emergency Services Rushed To The Scene Following Reports Of Gunfire. Shortly After, Police Were Called To A Nearby Car Fire At About 6:15 P.M., Where A Vehicle Was Found Completely Destroyed. Investigators Are Examining Whether The Burned Car Is Linked To The Shooting.
Superintendent Jason Joyce Condemned The Attack, Describing It As “Unmitigated Violence” That Has No Place In Sydney’s Streets. “It’s A Shame This Is Happening In Our Community,” He Said, Adding That Residents Should Feel Safe Walking In Their Neighborhoods. Joyce Also Extended Condolences To Mokhtarian’s Family And Witnesses Who Experienced The Horrifying Event.

Police Confirmed That A Witness Saw A Person Speeding Away From The Crime Scene In A Vehicle, But No Arrests Have Been Made. The Investigation Remains Ongoing As Authorities Appeal For Public Information To Help Identify Those Responsible For The Killing.
