According To A Statement Released On October 27, 2025, By Abel Shamakala, The UVCCM Regional Secretary, Magambo—Who Resides In Bombambili, Geita Town—Was Abducted On October 24, 2025, At Around 9:00 P.M. The Statement Alleges That The Perpetrators Used A Toyota Hilux Vehicle Fitted With Fake License Plates Registered Under The Name Brian Paul Bayo, A Resident Of Arusha.
“We Are Deeply Concerned That Incidents Of Kidnappings Involving Citizens And Leaders Continue To Occur In Our Country Without Swift Action Being Taken By Relevant Authorities,” The Statement Reads. “If No Action Is Taken Within 24 Hours, UVCCM Geita Will Join Other Tanzanians In Demanding The Protection Of All Citizens And Their Constitutional Right To Safety.”
The Youth Wing Also Urged Geita Residents And All Tanzanians To Remain Calm But Vigilant, And To Cooperate With Law Enforcement Agencies In Efforts To Locate Their Missing Chairperson. The Organization Emphasized That Peace And Unity Must Prevail Even As Investigations Continue.
