📰. CCM SPOKESPERSON CONDEMNS BISHOP GWAJIMA’S REMARKS, URGES TANZANIANS TO PROTECT NATIONAL PEACE 💡

CCM Secretary For Ideology, Publicity, And Training, Kenani Kihongosi, Has Called On Tanzanians To Uphold Unity And Safeguard The Nation’s Long-Standing Peace, While Condemning Recent Remarks Made By Bishop Josephat Gwajima Of The Ufufuo Na Uzima Church Questioning Tanzania’s Security Situation.

Speaking To Reporters In Mwanza On October 27, 2025, Kihongosi Described Bishop Gwajima’s Comments As “Inciting And Misleading,” Particularly In The Tense Atmosphere Leading Up To The October 29 General Election.

“I Listened To Mzee Gwajima Yesterday — He Said Many Things That Are Far From The Truth. He Claimed Tanzania Is Unsafe, Yet He Was Speaking Freely Before The Press, Within This Same Peaceful Country,” Kihongosi Said. “It’s Unfortunate For A Religious Leader To Mislead People And Use The Church To Spread Misinformation.”

Kihongosi Further Urged Citizens, Faith Leaders, And Politicians To Promote National Unity, Reject Divisive Rhetoric, And Maintain Calm As The Nation Prepares For The Polls.
