LAW enforcement quickly started a search operation led by the Ngaoundéré research team after being alerted. Abdou was caught after a two-day search, along with one of his partners and the person believed to have received the stolen items. Investigators also recreated the crime to understand exactly what happened.

Two more suspects, who are thought to have helped in the crime, are still being looked for by the police.
The local authorities, upset by how violent the crime was, are asking the community to stay watchful and work with the police to help catch the remaining suspects.
This terrible murder has left the Baladji II neighborhood deeply upset, much like a family tragedy.
It has also sparked a renewed discussion about the serious problems of drug use, domestic abuse, and drug smuggling in the area. Legal actions are moving forward, and Abdou is set to appear in court soon.
