ONE person has died following a stampede at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi during a concert headlined by Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake on Saturday.

Kenyan police spokesman Michael Muchiri told the BBC that the situation was later brought under control, and the concert went ahead as planned.
"The situation was later calmed down and fans were able to enter the stadium as the concert went on smoothly. A 20-year-old woman was unfortunately trampled to death near the entrance to the stadium," he said.
Police have not confirmed how many people were injured. Declining to give further details on the number of people injured, Mr Muchiri added: "Only one person has died."
The family of the 20-year-old woman are demanding justice.
