UKRAINIAN President Volodymyr Zelensky has rejected US President Donald Trump's offer to cede territory to Russia as part of a deal to end the war.
Ukraine has presented in Washington an improved proposal to end its war with Russia, as US President Donald Trump has appeared to criticize European leaders who agree with Zelensky's position.
The first draft of the 28-point peace agreement prepared by the US called for Ukraine to agree to cede territories that Russia had not yet fully occupied and to remove some security guarantees for Ukraine.
The move was seen by Kyiv and its European allies as a surrender to Russia and that such a draft would give Russia significant advantages. However, after opposition, the draft was revised.
