Speaking to the Secretariat today, December 11, 2025, he said that the step is important to close the loopholes of corruption and ensure that Leaders are held accountable. He also stressed that every Leader is required to fill out a declaration of assets and liabilities and the Secretariat should investigate by comparing the information with actual income.

He has also called on the Secretariat to collaborate with investigative institutions in areas with indicators of corruption and improve systems, rules and forms of ethics to expedite implementation. “We must fear those who are not afraid of public property. If someone does not want to have personal discipline, then the Government will impose that discipline, no one should touch public property without accountability,” Mwigulu Nchemba.
