Hakimi was hurt on November 4 during Paris Saint-Germain's 2-1 Champions League loss to Bayern Munich.
His participation in Morocco's first match is still unclear, but the coaching staff is hopeful about his recovery.
Coach Walid Regragui stressed how important Hakimi is to the team, both in terms of his performance and his role as a leader.
He said, "We will do everything to have him 100% ready for the match against Comores, but if he isn't, he'll still be with us regardless." Regragui also praised Hakimi's dedication and effort during his recovery process.
The squad includes several top players like goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, and forward Youssef En-Nesyri.
With just a few days left before the tournament starts, Morocco is hoping Hakimi will be fit and ready to lead the team in the Africa Cup of Nations.
