The NFL's Cowboys, who took over the top spot from Spanish football club Real Madrid in 2016, were valued at $13 billion, which is a 29% increase from last year, according to Forbes.
The top five teams included the National Basketball Association's Golden State Warriors ($11 billion), the NFL's Los Angeles Rams ($10.5 billion), the New York Giants ($10.1 billion), and the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers ($10 billion).
Forbes reported that 30 out of the NFL's 32 teams made it into the top-50 list, which also featured 12 NBA teams and two each from Major League Baseball, Formula 1, LaLiga, and the Premier League.
The four football clubs in the ranking—Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona, and Liverpool—were fewer than the seven that appeared in the past two years, as England's Manchester City, Germany's Bayern Munich, and France's Paris St Germain fell out of the list.
The New York Yankees ($8.2 billion) were the most valuable MLB team and ranked in a share of 10th place, while Real Madrid ($6.75 billion) were the most valuable football club and placed 20th.
Ferrari ($6.5 billion) were the top Formula 1 team on the list and ranked in a share of 26th place.
According to Forbes, the 50 top teams together are worth more than $353 billion, with an average value of $7.1 billion each.
This is a 22% increase from last year and more than double the value from four years ago.
