BURKINA FASO: NIGERIAN MILITARY PLANE FREED WITH ELEVEN SOLDIERS ON BOARD

ON December 17, 2025, Burkina Faso released a Nigerian C-130 military plane that had been intercepted on December 8 for entering its airspace without permission.

The aircraft had eleven military personnel on board. The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this development, stating that the decision followed a meeting between Burkina Faso's President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, and Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, who is the special envoy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
