NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, and their two kids, Emma and Ryder, were among the people who died when a business jet owned by his company crashed earlier today, Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Statesville Regional Airport in Statesville, NC.

Their good friend, YouTube personality Garrett Mitchell, who goes by the name "Cleetus McFarland," shared the news on social media.

The plane involved was a Cessna C550 business jet registered to Biffle's company, GB Aviation Leasing LLC.
The crash happened at the Statesville Regional Airport, which is roughly 45 miles north of Charlotte.
It took place around 10:15 a.m. EST, and reports say the plane was trying to land or return to the runway just after taking off.
Local authorities have confirmed several fatalities, and Mitchell stated that the Biffle family and a crew member were on board, heading to visit him in Florida.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are looking into the crash.
Investigators are also reviewing reports of bad weather, including heavy drizzle and poor visibility, that were present in the area at the time of the incident.
