MAGASSA STRIKES LATE TO SECURE WEST HAM A 1-1 DRAW AT OLD TRAFFORD

MAGASSA SCORED a crucial goal in the final moments to help West Ham draw 1-1 with Manchester United at Old Trafford. This was the first time the two teams tied in a Premier League match since July 2020. Manchester United began strongly, but West Ham kept creating chances. Aaron Wan-Bissaka set up Mateus Fernandes, whose shot was blocked by Casemiro.

Both teams had several chances in the first half. Jean-Clair Todibo and Bruno Fernandes both had shots blocked, and Casemiro again stopped Jarrod Bowen. Alphonse Areola made his first save of the game in the 25th minute, pushing Bryan Mbeumo's shot over the crossbar. Soon after, West Ham managed to keep out a series of chances. Wan-Bissaka cleared Joshua Zirkzee's effort, Todibo blocked Matheus Cunha's header, and Fernandes shot wide.

Manchester United kept pressing as the half went on, but West Ham defended well. Mavropanos and Todibo made important stops, and Bowen had a good run but was stopped by Senne Lammens. West Ham's strong defense kept them in the game going into the second half.

After the break, United created more chances with Mbeumo, but Freddie Potts and Tomas Soucek stepped in to prevent a goal. Luke Shaw had a shot that went over, but it was Magassa who made the difference in stoppage time, helping West Ham get a hard-earned draw on the road.
