PUTIN ARRIVES IN INDIA FOR KEY TALKS WITH PM MODI

RUSSIAN PRESIDENT Vladimir Putin has arrived in New Delhi on Friday for meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking his first visit to India in four years. This visit highlights the growing importance of the relationship between the two nations amid shifting global politics.

Russia is aiming to increase trade with India, which remains its biggest buyer of weapons and oil.

This move comes as Western sanctions continue to affect Moscow, making it more important for Russia to deepen its connections with long-standing allies.

India has been Russia's main supplier of weapons for many years, and now Moscow is looking to import more goods from India to improve the trade balance.

The two countries aim to raise their trade volume to $100 billion by 2030.

The discussions are considered a major effort to enhance strategic, economic and political cooperation between India and Russia, especially as the world faces new divisions in international interests.
