25 million FCFA was given in total to the sports clubs in the municipality by the Tivaouane municipal council.

Subsidies were given to Asc Les Damels, which plays in National 1, receiving 3.5 million FCFA.
The Kouli team got 1 million FCFA, with hopes that it will soon be promoted to National 1. Le Kajoor FC also received 1 million FCFA, as it currently plays in the regional division.
A grant of 1.5 million FCFA was given to the local basketball team, which had a great year by getting promoted to the elite category.
In return, the handball team received 1 million FCFA in support.
This allowed the departmental sports inspector, José Edgar Ballakoune, to say that "sport needs a lot of financial resources."
He praised the efforts made and encouraged more support if the town hall can provide it.
He praised the leaders of the Tivaouane Basket Club for their "excellent track record" and urged more variety in sports.
The president of the Tivaouane sports district, Pape Fall, welcomed the growing interest among young people in sports.
The athletes said that the Moustapha Niang stadium helped with almost 70% of their performance because they had access to proper playing fields.
Pape Fall also mentioned that the club has to play almost 20 matches, ten of them in Thiès, because there isn't enough sports infrastructure in the local area.
