LEADERS From Latin America And Europe Are Expected To Reach An Agreement To Boost Cooperation In Fighting Drug Trafficking, Organized Crime, And Corruption.

The Meeting Took Place In Santa Maria, A Coastal City In Colombia, And Brought Together The European Union (EU) And The Community Of Latin American And Caribbean States (CELAC). The Goal Is To Coordinate Efforts Among Police, Courts, And Customs Authorities From Both Regions.

EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas Said The New Partnership Will Go Beyond Protecting Citizens. She Added That The EU’s Maritime Security Plan Will Be Expanded To Improve Information Sharing And Joint Actions Against Crimes At Sea.

Those Attending The Summit Included Brazil’s President Lula Da Silva, European Council President Antonio Costa, And Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
