Witnesses Said The Disturbance Started When Some People In The Crowd Began Shouting Before Others Started Throwing Stones In The President’s Direction.
Security Forces Quickly Stepped In To Protect President Hichilema And Safely Escorted Him From The Stage. Police Managed To Bring The Situation Under Control, And No Injuries Were Reported.
Before The Incident, President Hichilema Had Urged Residents To Remain Calm And Assured Them That His Government Is Committed To Addressing The Challenges Facing The Community.
