According To X’s Head Of Marketing, Nikita Bier, Accounts For Leaders And Government Institutions Will Not Display Their Location “To Protect Security And Prevent Terrorist Acts Against Leaders.”
The Feature, Called “About This Account,” Now Appears On A User’s Profile And Displays:
- The User’s Presumed Country Or Region
- Potential Changes Due To Travel
X Has Stated That This Information Can Change Frequently And Can Be Distorted By Vpn Use, So It Is Not 100% Accurate For Everyone.
Bier Said That The Feature Will Be Further Improved Today, And X Expects To Achieve Up To 99% Accuracy In Identifying The Location Of An Account.
