THE Commissioner General of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Mr. Yusuph Juma Mwenda, has expressed sympathy to taxpayers, TRA staff, and all Tanzanians affected by the recent challenges that occurred during the October 29, 2025 general election.
During his visit to the Ilala and Kariakoo tax regions, Mr. Mwenda met with taxpayers and TRA employees, assuring them that TRA remains committed to delivering quality services, listening to taxpayers, and solving their concerns.
He urged TRA staff to continue working with professionalism, efficiency, and accountability despite damages and disruptions faced in some offices, emphasizing that taxpayers and their businesses are the authority’s top priority.
Mr. Mwenda also confirmed that TRA services are continuing as normal in all affected areas and thanked taxpayers like Mr. Salim Virani of Kariakoo, who expressed satisfaction with TRA’s ongoing support and services.
