A TEAM Of Investors From Rwanda’s Mining Sector Has Expressed Strong Interest In Exploring New Opportunities In Iron And Copper Mining Within Dodoma City. The Delegation Held Discussions With Dodoma Regional Commissioner Rosemary Senyamule, Outlining Their Intention To Invest In Extraction, Processing And Value Addition Of Key Minerals In The Region.
During The Meeting, The Investors Highlighted That Their Planned Projects Aim To Strengthen The Mineral Value Chain, Promote Industrial Expansion And Support Tanzania’s Broader Economic Development Goals. They Praised The Government For Providing A Welcoming Investment Environment, Including Free Allocation Of Project Sites, Which They Described As A Major Incentive For Expanding Their Initiatives.
In Addition To Iron And Copper Projects, The Investors Announced Plans To Establish A Cement Factory That Will Produce Tipi Cement Using Waste Generated From Iron Processing. They Noted That This Approach Will Not Only Enhance Production Efficiency But Also Help Reduce Environmental Impact Through Better Waste Utilisation.
The Delegation Further Emphasized Their Intention To Improve Copper Value Addition By Producing Finished Products Locally. This Move Is Expected To Boost Employment Opportunities, Increase Government Revenue And Stimulate Economic Growth Across The Dodoma Region.
