THE Argentina national football team is expected to be a special guest this week as Angola celebrates 50 years of independence from Portugal.
Angola has organized a friendly match between its national team and the World Cup champions, Argentina, scheduled for this Friday at the November 11 Stadium, named after the country’s Independence Day.
According to reports, the match will cost around 13 million US dollars to bring the full Argentina squad to Angola.
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has confirmed that the team will arrive in Angola tomorrow (Thursday) to prepare for the historic encounter.
Angola gained its independence from Portugal on November 11, 1975, and the match is expected to be one of the highlights of the nation’s golden jubilee celebrations.
