In An Official Letter Signed By Barry Andrews, Robert Biedroń, Udo Bullmann, Michael Gahler, Erik Marquardt, And David Mcallister, The Meps Expressed Deep Concern Over The State Of Democratic Freedoms In Tanzania — Particularly The Erosion Of Free Expression And Fair Electoral Processes.

The Lawmakers Have Called On The Tanzanian Government To Immediately Release Tundu Lissu, End The Persecution And Harassment Of Opposition Leaders And Activists, And Uphold Constitutional Principles Including The Rule Of Law, Democracy, Political Balance, And Human Rights.
