🚨🚨 THE LIST OF PEOPLE WHO WERE BEATEN BY THE POLICE IN LISSU’S CASE ‼️


THE Party for Democracy and Progress (CHADEMA) has accused the Police Force of continuing to use excessive force against citizens who had peacefully gathered at the premises of the High Court, Dar es Salaam Zone, today, October 6, 2025, to follow the proceedings of the case involving the Party’s National Chairperson, Hon. Tundu Antiphas Lissu.

According to its statement released today, October 6, 2025, CHADEMA listed about 16 of its members who were beaten and injured when they arrived at the court this morning. The party noted that those injured are currently receiving medical treatment, and it is providing assistance through an emergency fund contributed by citizens.

CHADEMA named the injured members as: Flora Mkumbwa, Salum Kitenge, Saragana Bwire, Peter Msusi, Awadhi Kalonga, Obadia Mbekaka, Emanuel Akiyoo, Stanslaus Rutta Kitare, Aron Stephano, Tabia Mwakikuti, Ibrahim Haduni, Jackobo Lazaro Chiungu, Aloni Stephano, Jacob Bailemba, Naomi Nyitambe, and Jacob Kamonga.

The statement indicated that Mr. Stanslaus Rutta Kitare was the most seriously injured. According to eyewitnesses, he was repeatedly struck on the head, causing heavy bleeding from his nose, before being taken to Barracks Hospital and later transferred to Muhimbili National Hospital for emergency treatment.

“Reports indicate that the brutal operation was led by the Ilala District Police Commander (OCD), Mr. Shomari Himbuka, who is said to have been directly involved in issuing orders and overseeing the attacks against civilians,” CHADEMA.

The report also stated that Stanslaus Rutta Kitare was the most seriously injured after being struck on the head several times and bleeding heavily before being taken to Barracks Hospital, and later transferred to Muhimbili National Hospital for emergency treatment.
