THE Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) Has Announced That The EMU Train Accident That Occurred Today, October 23, 2025, On The Route From Dar Es Salaam To Dodoma, Was Caused By Operational Faults.
In A Statement Issued By TRC Director General, Engineer Machibya Masanja, The Corporation Confirmed That The Accident Happened At Around 8:00 A.M., But No Deaths Or Injuries Were Reported.
He Added That A Thorough Investigation Into The Cause Of The Incident Is Currently Underway.
“A Team Of Experts Led By The Permanent Secretary For Transport, The TRC Director General, Security Agencies, And TRC Management Is Conducting An In-Depth Investigation And Working To Ensure That Our Services Resume As Soon As Possible,” The Statement Read.
TRC Also Apologized To Its Customers For The Inconvenience Caused. “We Sincerely Apologize For The Disruption,” The Statement Concluded.
