ACT-Wazalendo Member Luhaga Mpina Has Today, October 21, 2025, Filed An Appeal Challenging His Disqualification From Contesting For The Presidency Of The United Republic Of Tanzania.

Mpina Has Requested That The Union Presidential Election Be Put On Hold Until The Court Delivers Its Ruling On The Objections Raised Against Both Himself And The CCM Presidential Candidate, President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

He Clarified That He Has No Issue With The Zanzibar Elections, Adding That Parliamentary And Councilor Elections On The Union Side Can Proceed As Planned. However, He Insisted That The Union Presidential Election Should Be Paused Until The Court Makes Its Final Decision.
