FOLLOWING The Incident Involving CHADEMA’s Deputy National Chairman, John Heche, Who Was Reportedly Blocked By Immigration Officers From Crossing The Sirari Border Into Kenya, The Immigration Department Has Issued An Official Statement Clarifying The Matter.

In Its Release, The Department Stated That On October 18, 2025, At The Sirari Immigration Post In Mara Region, John Wegesa Heche, The Deputy National Chairman Of CHADEMA, Left The Country And Entered Kenya Without Adhering To Immigration Laws And Procedures Established Under The Immigration Act, Chapter 54.

The Department Further Reminded All Tanzanian Citizens And Foreign Nationals Entering Or Leaving The Country To Follow The Legal Procedures And Regulations Governing Entry, Residence, And Departure.

“The Immigration Department Urges All Tanzanians And Foreign Visitors To Comply With The Established Immigration Laws To Avoid Committing Offenses And Facing Legal Action,” The Statement Concluded.
