THE Tanzania People's Defence Force (JWTZ) Has Informed The Public That It Has Identified The Presence Of Some People Who Are Using Social Media To Distribute Content Aimed At Involving The Army In Political Matters.
According To A Statement Issued Today, October 4, 2025, By The Acting Director Of Information And Public Relations Of The Jwtz, Colonel Bernard Masala Mlunga, Some Of These People Are Identifying Themselves With The Name Of The Army Despite Being Discharged Due To Inappropriate Behavior And Conduct, While Others Are Involved In Politics And Activism.
The Army Has Stressed That It Is Not Intimidated By These Attempts And Will Continue To Protect Peace, Freedom And National Borders In Accordance With The Constitution Of The United Republic Of Tanzania And The Principles Of Its Integrity.
