📰. FOUR PEOPLE KILLED IN CAMEROON CLASHES AHEAD OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS 💡

AT Least Four People Have Been Killed In Douala, Cameroon, Following Violent Clashes Between Opposition Protesters And Police, Just Hours Before The Official Announcement Of The Country’s Presidential Election Results.

The Unrest Erupted On Sunday, October 26, 2025, As Hundreds Of Supporters Of Opposition Candidate Issa Tchiroma Took To The Streets, Accusing The Government Of Vote Rigging In Favor Of Long-Serving President Paul Biya.

According To Eyewitnesses And International Media Reports, Protesters Blocked Major Roads, Burned Tires, And Hurled Stones At Police Officers. Security Forces Responded With Tear Gas And Water Cannons To Disperse The Crowds.

The Governor Of The Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, Confirmed Four Deaths And Several Injuries On Both Sides, Adding That Police Stations In Douala’s Second And Sixth Districts Were Attacked During The Unrest.

The Violence Comes As Preliminary Results From The October 12 Election Show President Paul Biya, Aged 92, Leading Toward What Would Be His Eighth Term In Office. However, Tchiroma Has Rejected Those Results, Claiming He Won 54.8% Of The Vote Against Biya’s 31.3%, And Has Urged His Supporters To Resist What He Described As “Manufactured Results.”

The Cameroonian Government Has Denied The Allegations Of Electoral Fraud, Urging Citizens To Remain Calm And Await The Official Declaration Of Results From The Constitutional Council Scheduled For Monday.
