THE Government Will Not Issue Any Permits For Demonstrations On October 29, 2025, The Official Polling Day, Emphasizing That The Date Has Been Designated Exclusively For Tanzanians To Cast Their Votes In The General Election, Ubungo District Commissioner Albert Msando Has Announced.
Speaking On Friday, October 24, 2025, During The National University Students Forum Held At The Ubungo Plaza Hall — Where He Represented Minister Of State In The Prime Minister’s Office (Labour, Youth, Employment And Persons With Disabilities), Hon. Ridhiwani Kikwete — Msando Warned Against Any Attempts To Organize Or Participate In Disruptive Acts On Election Day.
“On Behalf Of The Government, I Want To Assure You — Do Not Be Intimidated. Ignore Those Spreading Fear Among Citizens,” Msando Said.
“Avoid Being The Source Of Unrest Or Violence, And Let Me Emphasize This Clearly: October 29 Has Been Declared An Election Day, Not A Day For Protests. There Will Be No Demonstration Permits On The Pretext Of Exercising Constitutional Rights. No Right Should Infringe Upon Another — The Election Itself Is A Constitutional Process.”
The District Commissioner Reiterated That The Government Is Fully Prepared To Ensure Peace And Stability Throughout The Election Period And Urged Young People To Exercise Patience And Use Lawful Means To Achieve Their Goals Rather Than Resorting To Shortcuts.
He Further Called Upon University Students To Play A Constructive Role By Sharing Accurate Information And Engaging In Issue-Based Discussions, Instead Of Using Insults Or Misinformation On Social Media Platforms.
