The High Court in Uganda has delayed a decision on Dr. Kizza Besigye's bail request. Dr. Besigye is a long-time opposition leader who was arrested last year in Kenya. The court was expected to decide on his bail today, but the ruling has been moved to December 29.

Besigye, along with his political assistant Hajji Obeid Lutale and a military officer named Dennis Ola, is charged with treason. So far, none of them have formally admitted or denied the accusations. Dr. Besigye and Lutale were arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, in November of last year.
