A statement from the Prime Minister's Office said the meeting happened at the Sheikh Zayed Palace in Rahim Yar Khan.
The statement mentioned that the meeting took place in a "very pleasant and friendly atmosphere," and the two leaders discussed topics from their previous meeting in Islamabad on December 26, 2025.
It also noted that this meeting was part of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s first official visit to Pakistan as UAE President.
Prime Minister Sharif reemphasized Pakistan’s dedication to making the long-standing, friendly relationship with the UAE into a strong, strategic, and beneficial economic partnership.
He also highlighted the need for a big boost in trade between the two countries, saying this would be good for both.
The leaders had in-depth talks about chances to work together in areas like information technology, energy, mining, minerals, and defense.
The statement said the Prime Minister praised the UAE’s development under Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s leadership and thanked him for his personal support in building stronger ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
He also thanked the UAE leadership for hosting over 2.1 million Pakistanis living in the Emirates, recognizing their role in bringing the two countries closer.
The meeting also covered regional and global issues, showing the strong and lasting relationship between the two friendly nations.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and other top officials were also present.
