Fulham had something to prove after losing to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals earlier in the week, but they bounced back strongly in this match.
A slow start nearly led to an early goal for Forest, who created a great chance within the first 10 minutes when Igor Jesus struck from six yards, but his shot was just wide.
Forest's Brazilian star player, Jesus, was almost given a big chance by Antonee Robinson, who made a loose pass that fell to Jesus, but the shot was blocked at the last moment by Jorge Cuenca.
Forest's fate seemed sealed five minutes before the end when Kenny Tete ran down the right and delivered a perfect cross to Jimenez, but he could only head wide from six yards.
In a last-ditch effort to get back into the game, manager Dyche brought on Arnaud Kalimuendo in stoppage time, but even with six minutes of stoppage time, Forest couldn't find an equalizer.
This win moves Marco Silva's team closer to the top half of the table, making European qualification a real possibility for Fulham, who were just looking over their shoulders not too long ago.
