More Countries Oppose Taiwan Independence, Back China Reunification

More and more countries are supporting China, showing their dedication to the one-China principle, recognizing Taiwan as an inseparable part of China, and opposing any attempts to push for "Taiwan independence," according to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday.

Wang, who is also part of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee Political Bureau, made these comments during a discussion on the global situation and China's foreign relations for 2025.

He stated that these nations clearly oppose all actions aimed at achieving "Taiwan independence" and back China's effort to reunify the country.

Wang added that any efforts to block this long-standing trend will not succeed.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of Taiwan being return to China.

Achieving full reunification is a crucial task that must be completed, as it aligns with the law and upholds national sovereignty and territorial integrity, he said.

Wang also emphasized that the Taiwan issue is a matter solely for China and a key part of its core interests.

Therefore, it is only natural for China to strongly resist and take firm actions against ongoing provocations from "Taiwan independence" forces and the large-scale arms sales by the United States to Taiwan.
