MAN UNITED PLANNING TO DELAY ZIRKZEE’S DEPARTURE

JOSHUA Zirkzee is Roma's main target. Gian Piero Gasperini has strongly asked for him from Frederic Massara and the Friedkins to strengthen his attacking options in January.

The former Bologna player is currently on the sidelines at Manchester United and wants to leave the Premier League.

He would be happy to return to Italy, where he had a great time with Bologna, and the capital is a place he really likes.

Yesterday, during the Red Devils' draw against Bournemouth, he was on the bench for almost the whole game.

Manager Ruben Amorim only brought him on in the 90th minute, which shows there's a big problem between the player and the club.

He is most likely to leave England in the winter transfer window, aiming to get a spot in the World Cup in the final months of the season.

Roma are interested in him, but bringing him to Trigoria won't be easy.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, Manchester United wants to include a buyout clause of around €35 million to ensure they get a loan deal.

Also, they would only allow him to leave at the end of January, because there are many attacking players involved in the Africa Cup of Nations.

In short, it's not going to be an easy deal for Roma or for AC Milan, another Serie A club that is also interested in the 2000-born player.

Massara knows the situation and has therefore added other names to the list of players to suggest to Gasperini.

Genoa's Jeff Ekhator and Everton's Beto are also interested in attack. Another option is Albert Gudmundsson, who, however, is an attacking midfielder.
