LUIS SUAREZ PENS ONE-YEAR DEAL WITH INTER MIAMI FOR 2026 SEASON

INTER MIAMI, part of Major League Soccer, announced on Wednesday that former Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has signed a new contract for the upcoming season.

Suarez, who will turn 39 in January, joined Lionel Messi's team in 2024 and played a key role in helping the club win the 2025 MLS Cup and the Eastern Conference title.

Throughout his career in Europe, Suarez played for Barcelona, Liverpool, and Atletico Madrid, and won major trophies including the Champions League, La Liga, and the League Cup.

Inter Miami shared that Suarez has signed a new contract following the successful 2025 season, which marked his second year with the club.

They highlighted that Suarez's experience and leadership were vital as Inter Miami secured its third and fourth titles by winning the Eastern Conference Championship and the MLS Cup.

The club also had a strong international campaign, reaching the round of 16 in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the semifinals of the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.

The club added that Suarez made 50 appearances across all competitions in 2025, scoring 17 goals and providing 17 assists, for a total of 34 goal contributions.
